C.J. VanJames's art from a soul's perspective.
James painting was prolific and so VanJames celebrated graduation with a solo
exhibition. VanJames graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors of Fine
Arts.
An accomplished writer and public speaker, VanJames has appeared as a guest artist
on local community television art shows and is a member of the local Art Guild and the
Art Students League of Denver. As a past member of her City’s Art Advisory Board for
art in public places, she is now a member of the local Art Guild and the Art Students
League of Denver. Works are found in city and corporate art collections.
VanJames spends a great deal of time in nature across the nation, in equestrian centers
and in our own Colorado backyard.

These mediums allow for the best expression of the subject's uniqueness, energy and beauty." - VJ We may often relax and expel a long relieved breath when we catch the scent of fragrant blooms or spreading pine trees. We recognize that unconditional embrace and feel safe in it. The feeling of these moments is captured with unique color and design. Mother Nature is bold, constant and confident in the images and feelings she gives us. You can feel it too, with your eyes, when you see these images. |

C.J. VanJames works in oils and color pencil. Both media allow the
best expression of the subject’s nobility, energy and beauty. The
works created, take-off and dramatically go beyond prosaic
boundaries of nature’s images and present startling and alive
forms. Alive, that is, from a soul’s perspective. As an active lifelong
artist and painter, works are created in the realist, representational
and contemporary traditions that are inspired by a passion and
love of nature.
VanJames grew up in the western part of the United States. Her
first art commissions came during her tenure in First Grade,
Elementary School, from art admirers. During High School, Van
